Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides direct supervision and monitoring of the nursing care given to our residents on a daily basis ensuring required documentation is completed. Provides leadership and guidance to the nursing staff. Provides treatments and medications for our residents. Attends and participates in “at risk” meetings, morning clinical meetings, QAPI meetings, safety meetings, and care plan meetings. Shares “on-call” responsibilities with other supervisory staff and provides direct care as necessary. Investigates accidents and incidents related to our residents and staff. Writes and reviews care plans identifying the problem/needs of each resident, the care to be given, goals to be accomplished and updating the care plan as needed. Conducts nursing assessments. The Patient Care Associate supports the registered nurse in patient care activities, such as: assisting patient with activities of daily living, collecting specimens and performing procedures; maintaining a safe, clean environment; and other duties as needed.
