Position Overview The Lead Medical Assistant provides day-to-day leadership and clinical support for school-based health center operations. This role combines hands-on patient care with staff guidance, workflow coordination, immunization program support, and quality improvement activities. Clinical Care & Patient Services Perform Medical Assistant duties, including obtaining vital signs and patient histories, preparing patients for examinations, assisting providers, administering medications and immunizations within the scope of practice, and performing blood draws and specimen collection. Maintain accurate electronic health records, verify patient documentation and consents, and ensure orders, test results, and billing-related services are completed. Provide patient education, reinforce provider instructions, monitor patient responses to treatment, and promptly report clinical concerns.
