Overview Seeking Russian speaking caregiver for our Russian speaking client. CLient requires standby assist for ADL's, light housekeeping and errands. Works under the supervision of the Director of Nurses or designated registered nurse. Provides direct patient care as assigned by the registered nurse. Assists in the home health care services that reflect the home health care agency philosophy and standards of home health nursing care of assigned clients. Responsibilities Able to work in a stressful environment. Able to assess and communicate with ill patients, co-workers, and general public. Is neat in appearance and practice, with good personal hygiene. Communication skills; observation, reporting, and documentation of a client's status and the care or service furnished. . Basic infection control procedures and instruction on universal precautions basic elements of body functions and changes in body function that must be reported to the supervisor. Maintenance of a clean, healthy, and safe environment recognizing emergencies and knowledge of emergency procedures. The physical, emotional, and developmental needs of and ways to work with the populations served by the agency including, the need for respect for the client and his or her privacy and property. Appropriate and safe techniques in personal hygiene and grooming that include: bed bath sponge, tub, or shower bath shampoo, sink, tub, or bed nail and hair care oral hygiene toileting and eliminating safe transfer techniques and ambulation normal positioning adequate nutrition and fluid intake assisting with self -administration of medications housekeeping, meal preparation, serving meals patient rights any other task that the agency may choose to have the home health aide perform Ensure quality and safe delivery of home health care services. Participates in development and implementation of client plans of care per home health care agency policy and procedure, as appropriate. Participates in client case conferences according to home health care agency policy and procedure, as appropriate. The provided home health aide services reflect client plans of care. Information regarding client plans of care is submitted to the Home Health Care Registered Nurse in a timely manner. Is on time for client assignments as scheduled and/or provides at least 24 hours advance notice of cancellation. Notifies the Scheduling Coordinator by telephone (no voice messages) if cannot report on-time for assignment. Qualifications CNAs shall meet one of the following qualifications: Have satisfactorily completed a nursing education program preparing for registered nurse licensure or practical nurse licensure. Be successfully enrolled in a nursing education program preparing for registered nurse or practical nurse licensure and have currently completed at least one nursing course that includes clinical experience involving direct client care Must be active on the CNA registry or hold a PCA certification Additional Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak English, and carry out directions Evidence of maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands Good verbal and written communications skills required .Attends twelve (12) hours of Aide oriented in services per year. Summary GENERAL SUMMARY The Nursing Care Partner works under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) and provides direct patient care for assigned patient. Frequent ongoing education, new skill acquisition and skill validation are provided and supported by an experienced ICU CNS for new and experienced ICU nurses. This unit welcomes experienced nurses moving into this specialty. The 11-week Transition to Practice program focuses on the orientation transition experience with intentional knowledge support and skill acquisition for practice in IMC areas. ICU staff are supported by an interdisciplinary care team which in part includes unit based respiratory, physical, speech and occupational therapists. Interpreter, nutrition, palliative, chaplaincy and ethical services are readily available as well. Our ICU has onsite and eICU pulmonary critical care intensivists and their team of physician extenders 24/7. Physician lead, nurse driven interdisciplinary rounds are held daily for continuity of care and to address nursing’s concerns or questions. Shift: Weekend Day Shift (7a-7p) F/S/S or S/S/M 5K DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW This 42-bed unit specializes in the care of Adult Surgical Patients. Registered Nurses are assigned to PODs to assist patients recovering from surgeries: Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Plastic Surgery, GYN Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Trauma Overflow. While working in this unit you will care for patients that have renal disease, diabetes, COPD, and heart failure for a well-rounded nursing experience. This is a telemetry-monitored unit. The average patient stay is 3-4 days. This unit also has 6 beds that are for Epilepsy monitoring and is the Living Kidney Donor Transplant Unit. Join our amazing team! Overview The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
