Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY This is a non-exempt hourly position that has discretion to make decisions and has access to confidential employee and business information. The purpose of this position is to ensure in collaboration with the Nurse Manager for each neighborhood that safe, appropriate and goal-directed care is provided in a consistent manner, to provide support and direction to nursing staff, and to ensure the implementation of the Medical Staff and Nursing Department policies and procedures. Write thorough notes including history, physical exam, assessment, and plan for resident encounters. Provide end-of-shift sign out to nursing and medical staff. Make rounds to ensure that all residents are seen at least one time per shift. In partnership with nurse supervisor, take active role in education, support, and guidance of staff. Meet with parents, physicians, other staff, and/or administration as needed. Maintain knowledge base through continuing professional education programs and provide documentation to medical staff office.
