Job Description The Pain Management Center provides care to outpatients. The hours of operation for the Pain Management Center are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM until 4:00PM. The responsibility of the department is to ensure high quality nursing care to patients having Pain Management procedures according to American Society of Pain Management Nurses (ASPMN), American Heart Association, ASPAN, NJ State Department of Health, CDC, CMS, OSHA and TJC recommendations. Responsibilities The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Qualifications Education and Work Experience 1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required. 2. Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current. 3. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology. 4. Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
