Clinical Care 1.1 The CNM provides full scope midwifery care as outlined in the Core Competencies for Basic Midwifery practice developed by the American College of Nurse-Midwives in outpatient and inpatient settings. 2. Patient Education & Psychosocial Support 2.1 The CNM will educate patient/families on care and recommended or available resources. In collaboration with the collaborating MD, this may be inclusive of admitting, instructions, treatment plan, actual and potential side effects of treatment/medications and discharge plans. 3. Information Management 3.1 The CNM ensures appropriate documentation within the accordance of hospital and regulatory requirements and protects information of all forms, whether computer-based, paper, film, voice, or other media from unauthorized access modification, destruction, or intentional or accidental disclosure. 4. Quality Management 4.1 The CNM is expected to demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care 5. Staff Education 5.1 The CNM serves as a clinical resource for new resident staff and may provide service specific orientation pertinent to clinical evaluation 6. Key Duties: Efficiently plans and provides professional care while aligning with the needs of residents and the changing medical landscape. Maintains professionalism in interactions with residents, physicians, families, peers, and support staff. Documents crucial information related to resident care accurately and comprehensively. Administers prescribed medications and oversees accurate record-keeping in line with facility policies. Requirements: Valid state nursing license in good standing (or in the process of becoming a registered nurse). In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and long-term care regulations. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Collaborative team player with previous experience in long-term care preferred. Additional Expectations: All LPN positions require weekend on-call availability to support both staff and residents. Compensation details available upon inquiry.
