Overview NaphCare is seeking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team of medical professionals in the Wyoming Department of Corrections - Medium Correctional Facility in Torrington, WY. Full Time, Part Time, and PRN positions are available! We are offering new pay rates for CNAs for Full-Time employees! All hires (FT, PT, and PRN) will also receive: An additional $2.00 per hour pay incentive in addition to their base pay rate. Mileage reimbursement will also be paid for those who qualify and meet the mileage requirement. As a Correctional CNA , you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, you will have various duties to keep you engaged including assisting physicians and other healthcare professionals with examinations, taking patient histories, vital signs, supporting administrative tasks, etc. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs. Responsibilities As a CNA , you will play a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality healthcare that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and not be limited to: Clinical Duties: Assist with performing patient assessments, interviewing patients about current health problems, medication history Taking vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, respiration, and weight Documenting medical history including medications, treatment and medical conditions Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills including bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility Providing basic wound care, basic laboratory tests, basic patient education and instructions Observing and reporting changes in patients’ physical or mental health to nurses Administrative Duties: Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments Maintaining inventory of medical and office supplies Answering phones, emails and other forms of communications Qualifications New graduates are encouraged to apply! Our nurses work in private homes, residential care facilities, nursing centers, and other hospice care environments. They may also supervise licensed vocational/practical nurses and nursing aides. Our nurses must be capable of compassionate communication with patients and families, have keen observation skills, high ethical standards, and knowledge of when to alert doctors and others about changes in patients' conditions. In addition to performing visits and completing coordination of client care, the Registered Nurse RN Home Health is the point of contact for all disciplines involved with providing care to patients and oversees the frequency of visits for the episode. The Registered Nurse RN consults as needed with the physician and the office giving details about patient care. Performing accurate OASIS collection, ensuring the medication profile remains current, ensuring lab values have been reported to the physician timely, attending weekly case conference and monthly case manager meetings are key responsibilities of this role. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to make an impact across both home health and hospice. You’ll work in both care settings, giving you a broader clinical experience and the chance to support patients and families throughout their full care journey.
