Provide direct patient care to medically complex and/or critically ill patients requiring extended hospitalization Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals (Respiratory Therapists, Physical Therapists, Case Managers, Dietitians, Speech Language Pathologists, and more) to assist in carrying out individualized care plans Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population appropriate manner May perform other related duties as assigned or requested Qualifications Current unrestricted LPN License in the state you are applying Current BLS certification ACLS Certification Required within 90 days of hire (reimbursement provided). IV certification is not required for the following areas: Surgery (excluding Genesis Surgery Center, see above), Endoscopy, Hospice, Palliative care, and Hospital-Based Physician Offices (HOD offices). 5. Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of orientation. 6. Completion of an approved pharmacology course. 7. Ability to communicate effectively in an oral and written manner, as well as the ability to observe, assess, guide, and evaluate others 8. Ability to collect data, interpret findings, set priorities and carry out established plan 9. Ability to read, calculate, and prepare medication, as well as the ability to observe and analyze any resulting reactions and to apply clinical knowledge.
