Obtains prior authorizations and pre-certifications as needed and manages referrals through EMR. Documents all interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed or prescribed and hospital data in the electronic medical record. Responsible for charting patient encounter day of visit to ensure documented, organized and chronological medical record. Labeling, documenting, and tracking all specimens or tests ordered/received following set standards and reporting all test results to the physician.
