Completes dialysis treatments, initiation and discontinuation from internal accesses, monitoring of vascular access function and appropriately reports signs of stenosis, occlusion or infection to RN. Assembles and prepares necessary treatment supplies, rinses and primes dialyzer and attaches and installs all required tubing according to unit procedure. Test and set parameters according to dialysis prescription. Monitors equipment for safe and proper functioning, respond to alarms, and make appropriate adjustments; including blood flow rates and fluid removal rates Completes accurate documentation of dialysis access and patient treatment.
