Job Requirements POSITION SUMMARY The Health First Home Care (HFHC) Assistant Nurse Manager manages the Clinical Supervisor team and supports oversight to include participation in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the Home Care department, scheduling and assignment of personnel, and continuous quality improvement. The HFHC Assistant Nurse Manager serves as clinical and professional role model to staff and contributing to their professional growth and development as well as fostering connections with patients both internal and external. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES Promotes associate accountability and competency through leadership and management practice. Encourages associate growth and development through mentorship and goal setting. Assists in providing consistent on-boarding experience for all new clinical staff. Provides input for annual performance appraisals and competency checklists for personnel on an annual basis and as necessary in a timely manner. Interviews and participates in the selection of new clinicians. Assists with implementation of utilization-based performance improvement activities resulting in improved operations and patient care outcomes. Identifies opportunities for quality improvement activities in the department. Works with individual nursing supervisors and their clinical teams on opportunities to increase Patient Engagement scores, along with HHVBP incentives. Ensures compliance with the Joint Commission and other organizational and regulatory agency standards with quality indicators and core measures with on-going education. Monitors and ensures compliance with staffing guidelines, utilization and productivity to meet financial goals. Communicates staff, equipment needs and concerns to Manager/Director as appropriate. Responsibilities for RN Supervisor: Supervise and coordinate nursing care activities to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and timely care. Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts. Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented and documented. Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and family members regarding changes in condition or care needs. Assist in managing multiple residents and prioritize care based on clinical urgency. Support adherence to all applicable nursing regulations, safety standards, and facility guidelines. Promote a positive work environment through teamwork, communication, and professional leadership. Qualifications for RN Supervisor: Must possess a current, unencumbered active RN license in the state of New Jersey. Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required. Ability to manage care for multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting required. No previous supervisory experience required; training will be provided. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, residents, families, visitors, and regulatory agencies. Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws, regulations, and standards in nursing care centers. Responsibilities Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana (and part of the UHS Healthcare System) and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, and the Adult populations. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well. Wellstone is currently looking for a Nurse Manager for our Nursing Department. The Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who shares delegated responsibility with the Chief Nursing Officer in all matters related to program issues, unit staff, patient management and daily FTE’s. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for the units they are assigned, including accountability of staff. They will participate in the hiring process and will work with Staff Development in developing education for staff. Assists the Chief Nursing Officer with compliance to hospital policies and procedures. This position supervises various Mental Health Technicicans, LPNs, and RNs and is a safety sensitive position.
