Makes appropriate psychotherapy referrals when indicated. Collaborates with all members of the mental health team. Provides clinical supervision. Directs, coordinates, and evaluates activities for non-licensed staff and student interns engaged in patient evaluation and treatment. Provides crisis intervention services to clients with a wide variety of acute mental health problems, including suicide attempts, family conflicts, alcohol misuse, drug abuse, grief reactions, and trauma resulting from violence. Provides follow-up on patients who have recently been discharged from inpatient psychiatric facility and those with poor adherence to treatment plan. Maintains all appropriate client records according to professional and departmental policies. On-call coverage is provided on a schedule coordinated with the emergency room. Takes rotation along with rest of staff. Works closely with the Navajo Tribal Division of Social Services, law enforcement and other agencies to coordinate services for mental health patients who have serious family and other social problems. Refers patients to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling when needed. Responsible for electronic health records data entry pertinent to patient service role. Nurse Practitioner As the Nurse Practitioner you will act as a Skilled Nursing Facility’s leading provider of internal medicine services. You will collaborate with the facility’s interdisciplinary team and physicians, serving as a day-to-day clinical leader while helping oversee the care of all of the facility’s residents. You will work with the entire facility’s patient population - short and long-term residents - overseeing their day-to-day care with the assistance of the facility’s nursing staff and guidance from the facility’s medical directors and attending physicians.
