Position Details Provides specific services in assessments by consistently performing strength-based psychiatric evaluation of all admissions and discharges that are thorough, accurate and according to established policies and procedures; conduct client assessments and makes recommendations for treatment; accurately assesses the safety level of clients. Follows through with actions warranted by assessment data obtained; documentation of evaluation data is thorough, accurate, timely, and legible. Evaluates for and prescribes medication with oversight from supervising Psychiatrist. Your daily responsibilities include: Performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.). Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions. Prescribing medications and creating treatment plans. Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
