Role Summary In this role, you will provide in-home visits for wound care and primary care, with the potential for some clinic-based sessions at our Home Health department location. You will manage a defined panel of patients, coordinate with Home Health nurses and physicians, and have significant day-to-day independence in how you structure your schedule and care plans. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive in-home primary care: history, physical exam, diagnosis, and ongoing management of chronic and acute conditions. Wound Care NP Education, Certifications, and Skills

To become a wound care nurse practitioner, you first need to establish your credentials as a nurse practitioner, which is a type of advanced practice registered nurse. This means obtaining degrees beyond a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN), such as a master of science in nursing (MSN) or a doctor of nursing practice (DNP).

When applying for NP wound care jobs, the best way to stand out is to make sure that your application is tailored to an employer’s job posting. Your nurse practitioner resume should align with the needs of the hiring organization. So, if the job posting says that they are seeking a candidate who can “assess, plan, implement, and evaluate skin care related to wounds based upon current concepts and findings,” then include that phrase in your resume.
