As such, our healthcare providers can focus on care within the clinic: primary care, care coordination, and population health. Core Responsibilities: Provision of exceptional primary care. Conduct office visits for routine and acute issues. Administer Annual wellness visits and health risk assessments, which require a holistic view of health and a focus on thoughtful, accurate, and specific documentation. Care coordination with other providers, specialists, testing facilities, and agencies. Job Summary Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife. Job Requirements Education and Work Experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required Licenses/Certifications Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution: Required Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP: Preferred Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred Facility Specific License/Certifications AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Medical Assistant - NCCT (NCCT) or Certified Medical Assistant- NHA (CMA-NHA) or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Medical Assistant (MA) or American Medical Tech Board MA (MA-AMT): Required Essential Functions Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers. Obtains vital signs, and reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician. Performs audiometry and vision testing. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
