The Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), or Nurse Practitioner (NP), work in collaboration with the physician primarily in the outpatient setting, caring for acute, chronically ill or injured patients.
