Qualifications EDUCATION Graduated from an approved Practical Nurses Education Program EXPERIENCE Minimum one year experience in the acute care setting. Home care experience preferred but not required. LICENSURE License Practical Nurse with valid (or eligible) Connecticut license required. A valid driver's license and proof of car insurance are required when using a personal vehicle for company business. Access to a dependable vehicle in order to travel to multiple stops a day. CPR certification is required and must be maintained. Candidates who do not have certification are required to obtain it within 3 months (90 days) of hire. SPECIAL SKILLS Excellent verbal and written skills. Excellent clinical knowledge. Strong computer skills. PHYSICAL DEMAND Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, which includes heavy lifting, extensive bending, administering CPR, patient bracing, standing, and stairs. About this Job: General Summary of Position The Medical Assistant performs clinical and administrative duties in an ambulatory care setting under the supervision of a physician/provider and/or a registered nurse. Implement and coordinate the delivery of care in collaboration with physicians and resource health care personnel.
