Incorporate research-based evidence into practice, and Strengthen commitment to oncology nursing through promotion of professional growth and job satisfaction. Upon completion of the 12-week rotation and based on openings and best fit for both the nurse resident and clinical area, the nurse resident is matched to an area. For the first twelve months of practice, nurse residents will participate in programs outside of their unit for one or two days each month. In addition to time in the classroom and simulation, nurse residents will meet with their residency group monthly to reflect on collective experiences and challenges.
