About this Job: General Summary of Position Professional outpatient cardiac care nurse who assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of patients from admission through discharge. Minimal Qualifications Education Associate's degree in Nursing required Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred If prepared at the associate degree in nursing level required to enroll in a BSN program within 12 months of hire date and completion within 4 years of hire date Experience 1-2 years RN experience required Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state or jurisdiction of the facility seeking employment Upon Hire required and CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Upon Hire required and C-EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring Perinatal nurses (labor and delivery antepartum antenatal testing) must obtain certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) from the National Certification within 12 months from date of hire. New to specialty nurses (labor and delivery antepartum antenatal testing) will have 15 months from date of hire to obtain the EFM certification. and Additional unit/clinic specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit. Responsibilities We are actively hiring for an Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room. Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA . Assess p atient status throughout the perioperative episode of care . Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care. Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care. Qualifications Graduate of an a ccredited s chool of n ursing . O ne year of OR and/or medical / surgical nursing experience preferred . Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standings . Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 of employment or documentation of current BLS certification. Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification. Successful completion of Pediatric Advance Life support (PALS) course is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope of services within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.
