The responsibilities for this position include: New patient education, phone triage, patient notification of pathology/diagnostic testing results, decreasing MD time with return patients in clinic by providing RN assessment and education, prescription renewals, preauthorization of medications, precertification of procedures, management needs (home care referrals, supply needs, therapy referrals), monitors patients and facilitates the direct admission process, directly and indirectly supports assigned physician(s) during clinic sessions. Full-time hours: 8-430 PM M-F, one closing night per week 9-530 PM. No weekends! No holidays! Qualifications: Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
