Job Overview Shriners Children's – Spokane is seeking an Operating Room/PACU RN to join the Perioperative team. This position provides care in both the OR and PACU Phase I of a patients’ surgical experience. The RN will function within the team by providing professional nursing care to patients whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities are potentially compromised during and/or immediately after surgical or other invasive procedures. Provides support to the Anesthesiologist as needed during the intraoperative process. Utilizes clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and the nursing process to provide care to patients in the operating room and/or PACU. Uses the principles and guidelines of the AORN to ensure asepsis and infection control. The RN possesses excellent communication skills; is skillful in mentoring and teaching; and may participate on committees or projects. Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE This position is full time, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $41.04 - $70.35/hour. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and department equity.
