Station 20 also has a mix of many challenging patients including those who are anxious/depressed and are at risk for self-harm or suicide as well as those who have thought disorders and struggle with managing their lives in the community. Some patients have co-occurring medical issues that broaden the RN experience. Station 20 is one of our teaching units and so RNs and PAs will work with resident doctors and medical students. Team meetings on teaching units are very informative and participatory. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) is a beautiful 24-hour, 10-acre campus located in the heart of Scottsdale. The RTC is a safe, supportive environment that provides various services to youth, from the ages of 7 to 17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges. The Campus features dormitories, a therapeutic K-12 day school, food services, medical/nursing, and therapy services. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide direct daily medical management for our adolescent population, as well as provide, review, and follow-up with medical providers as to the effectiveness and/or possible side effects noted of medications administered. This position provides supervision regarding safety issues/crisis intervention for the campus population, infection control protocols, and general medical management. The RN will maintain effective communication with all departments involved with direct care and will provide education/training of direct care personnel involved with the Medication Technician Certification Program at the Group Home Level.
