Responsibilities This position is accountable for providing and managing competent nursing care to the neonatal patient that requires moderate to complex assessments, interventions and level of nursing vigilance. The NICU RNII is responsible for working in a team environment using a multidisciplinary approach to providing nursing care adapted to individual patient needs based on the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning implementation and evaluation. The individualized patient care is delivered in a safe, supportive, caring and family centered environment. The RN is also responsible for supervising, coordinating and delegating personnel who participate in the provision of care to ensure that patient needs and expected outcomes are met. Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year current NICU Level III experience is required. Current CA RN License, current certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) and current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are required. RNC-NIC and/or BSN preferred. Overview Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is in search of new-grad nurses to join our Nurse Residency Program! Our Registered Nurse Residency Program (RNRP) is a 6- month bridge program that allows an RN with less than one year of experience to work directly with experienced nurses and transition into professional hospital nursing positions. The RN will be working directly with a preceptor to become proficient in the basic skills to be an RN.
