Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: BSN and professional nursing board certification preferred at time of hire. All nurses hired after June 30, 2011 without a professional nursing board certification will be required to obtain a professional nursing board certification after two years of hire or at the certification eligibility date for those certifications requiring more than two years of experience. Overview Our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) is a 8-bed high acuity unit that provides complex monitoring and treatment of adult cardiac patients. CICU receives patients from the Cath Lab, ED, and Acute Care areas who require specialized cardiac care. Nurses must exhibit high levels of professional competency. The nurses work to collaborate with all disciplines of the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
