Lead Advanced Practice Provider - Urgent Care

JOB DESCRIPTION " POSITION SUMMARY The Urgent Care Lead Advanced Practice Provider will support to the functions performed by within the urgent care in support of program objectives and goals. This position ensures the Advance Practice Providers follow the processes and procedures to support the urgent care operations. The Lead APP assists with recruitment, orientation, continuous education and annual evaluations of the advanced practice providers working all of the urgent care sites. The Urgent Care Lead Advanced Practice Provider organizes and oversees the APP chart review process and conducts periodic chart reviews as needed. The Lead will work closely with the Chief Medical Officer to address concerns related to advanced practice provider performance, including the review of patient complaints that pertain to APPS. The Lead Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for positive group culture and will ensure high quality, efficient and patient friendly care for urgent care at all AtlantiCare locations. This full time position will consist of a 60 hours clinical time and 20 hours administrative time per pay period. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: If advanced practice nurse: Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school or as grandfathered by NJ Law. If physician assistant: Bachelors' degree in a physical science from an accredited institution required. Completion of an accredited physician assistant/surgical assistant program also required. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: For APN: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey or current multi state license required and certified by the State Board of Nursing. Certification within area of specialty required and granted privileges from Atlantic City Medical Center medical staff. NRNNP,C or RNCNS,C registry unencumbered. BLSHCP required. Geriatric or Palliative Care Certification preferred. For PA: Must be certified or eligible for certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants and the New Jersey State Board of Education and Licensure. Appointment as an Allied Health Practitioner with the Medical Center in accordance with the Medical Staff Bylaws. BLSHCP required. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 years experience required in business operations/environment. Well-developed communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required. Proficiency with computer applications required. Excellent planning, execution skills and ability to manage multiple projects required.
