Supports physicians in the recorder/monitor role by documenting procedures, balancing calibration, operating physiologic recording equipment, and calculating and reporting patient data gathered during procedures. Patient Care & Safety Reviews patient charts to verify appropriate information and identify potential risk indicators prior to procedures. Maintains the patient holding area and assists with transporting patients safely throughout the department. Provides radiation protection for patients, staff, and self by adhering to established safety standards. Recognizes emergency situations and initiates appropriate responses, including code activation, first aid, or CPR as needed. Prepares and administers medications and contrast media under the supervision of the Cardiologist. Medication & Equipment Management Maintains controlled drug inventory in compliance with established controlled substance policies.
