Hospital Details Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts - Central Campus, located in Rochdale, MA is a 47 bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. Responsibilities Develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care of assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of Vibra Healthcare. Reviews all patients receiving dialysis therapy and assesses clinical status throughout treatment. Consistently assists team members in the delivery of acute hemodialysis utilizing the established standards of care. Areas of practice are diverse, including, but not limited to, the fields of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence; managing patient care; improving quality of care; establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills; fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital; and developing clinical expertise per specialty. Required Skills: Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required. Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required. Current ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire. Dialysis experience preferred, but not required One (1) year of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing, critical care or dialysis preferred. Will except nurse residency program as experience. Must be able to accurately interpret color test strips. Additional Qualifications/Skills : Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred. The CAPE program is a system-wide clinical advancement program (clinical ladder) to enhance professional development, provide a reward system for quality clinical performance, promote quality nursing, and improve job satisfaction for inpatient direct care nurses. To apply for the next level, the CAPE nurse must meet the requirements of their current level. They must also meet the required years of nursing experience, degree, and certification to apply for the next level. In addition, nurses who are approved for levels 3, 4, 5, or 6 must complete and submit five competencies on an annual basis to maintain their current level.
