Master's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: 5+ years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse required. License/Certification/Registration: Current Registered Nurse License (RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact Registered Nurse (eNLC)). Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire. Specialty certification(s) preferred. Job Summary: Performs basic duties to all age patients in the Emergency Department under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse. Job Responsibilities: Uses effective communication skills with patients, staff, other departments, physicians, families and visitors. Provides age-appropriate and population specific patient care in a safe, skillful, accurate and efficient manner to newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Duties may include but not limited to phlebotomy, transporting patients, obtain vital signs, ekg’s, splinting, catheter placement and other patient care task as assigned. Additional duties may be assigned based on level of clinical completion Supports patient’s rights and responsibilities, including respect of cultural and religious diversity. Maintains the patient’s environment to include appropriate equipment and supplies at all times. Demonstrates appropriate use of equipment. Maintains supplies and instruments.
