This program is designed to create an environment that provides the experienced and new nurse support through the transition process from student, to novice, to advanced beginner, to independent practitioner. The program will be 20 weeks in duration and will require a two-year work commitment upon successful completion. There will be no time away (PTO) allowed or granted during the program. Requirements Education: Associate’s degree (A.D.N.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, with a BSN preferred, or graduate from an accredited RN program; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois. BLS certification required. Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse.
