If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing. One year of professional nursing experience preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Depending on location, a valid drivers license may be required. Recognizes changes in patient's physical and mental condition and takes appropriate actions. Responds appropriately to emergency situations. Provides nursing interventions to appropriate to patient's physical condition and emotional status. II. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Current licensure in the State of Massachusetts either LPN or RN. Preferred: 1. BLS Certification Experience/Skills: Required: 1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an LPN or RN. 2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and lead and train a group of employees. 3. Knowledge of nursing procedures and practices. 4. Knowledge of office and laboratory procedures. 5. Knowledge of medical terminology and strong proficiency with Microsoft office applications and electronic health records. III.
