All affiliated Home care aides employed by Nurse Next Door to provide in-home care services will be 18 years old (or if under 18 years of age be a high school graduate or enrolled in a vocational education program) and have sufficient communication and language skills to enable them to perform their duties and interact effectively with clients and other agency staff. Home care aides must meet all registration, criminal background checks and training requirements as specified by the State of California Department of Social Services Home Care Services Bureau and Nurse Next Door policies. Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities Responsibilities of the home care aide include, but are not limited to, the following- · Execute the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer. · Help clients with their ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) that are within the scope of practice for a Registered Health Care Aide. · Assisting clients with personal hygiene such as skin, mouth, hair care, bathing and dressing. · Assisting clients in and out of bed, transfers, positioning and assisting with ambulation. · Assisting with prescribed exercises which clients and aides have been taught by appropriate health personnel. · Meal planning and preparation, including therapeutic diets, and assisting clients with eating. · Assisting clients to the bathroom or in using commodes, bedpans or urinals and incontinence care. · Performing household services including housekeeping, laundry, transportation, correspondence, making telephone calls, shopping for personal care items or groceries, and companionship. · Assisting clients with medications reminders which are ordinarily self-administered. · Reporting changes in the client's condition and needs to the administrator or care designer. · Completing records regarding services performed. · Driving to appointments or to run errands. · Accurately records all hours worked. · Remains alert throughout the shift in case client requires assistance, responds immediately to any such needs by providing the assistance required, or calling the Company for guidance. · Participating in all required entry-level and annual training requirements. · Maintaining an active home care aide registration with the State of Ca. Dept. of Social Services Home Care Services Bureau. · Other duties as assigned by the administrator or designee. Every other weekend Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department Chicago, IL (Lakeview Neighborhood) Full time; 7p-7a Where You Will Work: More than 44,000 people a year come to Illinois Masonic for emergency care. AIMMC is a Level I Trauma Center which includes a trauma bay in addition to general emergency and behavioral health emergency designated beds. RNs are required to become verified as a Trauma Nurse by attending a Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC). AIMMC’s Emergency Department serves as the lead agency in pre hospital disaster preparedness for the City of Chicago. We’re Looking For: Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS PALS to be obtained within 3 months of hire Minimum 1 year of RN experience in ED, Tele or ICU required ED RN experience is preferred What You’ll Do: As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
