Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Surgical Technologists, sometimes called “scrub techs ”, assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses and ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and maintaining a sterile field. Surgical Technologists perform a variety of functions, such as checking supplies and equipment, setting up sterile tables, performing appropriate counts, draping the sterile field, passing instruments to the surgeon and assistant during the procedure, prepare sterile dressing and clean instruments for terminal sterilization. This role offers a hands-on learning environment with opportunities to enhance technical skills and grow professionally each day. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM – 3:30PM. The part-time schedule consists of working 3 days one week and 2 days the next, primarily Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Set up the sterile table and ensure appropriate supplies , drugs and equipment are available. : Resident Assistant Position Summary Residents Assistants are an essential part of our wellness team by providing basic personal assistance to the residents in maintaining their highest level of functional independence and psychosocial wellness under the direction and supervision of a RN or LPN. JOB SUMMARY The Memory Care Aide assists the Memory Care Assistant Director in providing a holistic, therapeutic, person-centered Memory Care Program on the Memory Care Unit. The Memory Care Aide will achieve and maintain the highest quality of life for each resident with a diagnosis of a disease that causes dementia residing in or under the care of the facility. Additionally, the Memory Care Aide will continuously provide the evidenced-based, therapeutic programs and activities that the memory care residents engage in daily. QUALIFICATIONS Hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Have at least one year of experience in the healthcare field either working or volunteering. Have at least three months of experience engaging with persons with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Must have the sincere desire to work with the memory care population. Have confidence to effectively express the Memory Care Program to the community, other health care professionals, outside professional organizations, senior services, any other provider or professional in the community and potential families and residents. Possess confidence and the ability to apply that knowledge to deal effectively with this population. Have the willingness to continuously learn about the disease process of dementia. Possess the ability to utilize therapeutic approaches effective with the dementia population on an ongoing basis. Have the ability to make independent decisions in the best interest of residents, staff, and families.
