Job Title: X-Ray Technician/MA Reports to: Center Manager Summary The X-Ray Technician/MA will be responsible for assisting in examination and treatment of patients under direction of the Physician. Cleans and sterilizes instruments. Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials. Operates x-ray, electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests. Gives injections or treatments, and performs routine laboratory tests. Keys data into computer to maintain office and patient records. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications Current limited X-Ray permit issued by the California Department of Public Health (expanded scope is ideal- to include digital radiography, chest, extremities, and torso-skeletal) is required CPT I certification Experience performing EKGs, blood draws, vital signs and IM injections.
