Job Description We are currently recruiting for a Per Diem CRNA for our Center City Campus. This includes TJUH, JSC, JHN, and GI. We are a large academic medical center with 40% of our staff having worked here for 15 years or more. We offer a vast case variety and do cutting edge procedures. We are a level 1 trauma center with multiple transplant programs and many centers of excellence including orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, urology, and gastroenterology. Essential Functions: Participates in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation. Provide intraoperative general anesthesia care in collaboration with attending Anesthesiologist Participate in the induction of general anesthesia and maintenance of anesthetics at required levels Implements, monitors and adjusts patient’s physiologic condition as appropriate for type of anesthesia and specific patient needs. Transfers the responsibility for care of the patient to other qualified providers post-operatively to assure continuity of care and patient safety. Provide professional and resuscitative care until the patient has regained control of his/her vital functions Administer spinal, epidural, caudal and nerve block anesthesia Supports departmental and operating room procedures in the promotion of patient satisfaction and quality. Participates in additional areas of responsibility, which are within the expertise of the individual CRNA. Upon successful completion of competency skills training, assist in office-based surgical procedures (Anything historically performed in an Operating Room and/or requiring moderate sedation or higher including but not limited to LEEP, operative hysteroscopy, ablations, and D&Cs with or without suction) by preparing the procedure room, ensuing the availability of necessary equipment, providing support to healthcare providers during the surgeries, and post-surgical processes including disinfection. Safely and efficiently assist patients with mobility, including transferring them between examination rooms and treatment areas. Ensure compliance with all Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) and policies (including HIPAA & OSHA). Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Overview The Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper University Hospital is a pediatric facility that consists of several units that meet the diverse needs of pediatric patients: Pediatric unit, Pediatric Intermediate unit (PIMU), Pediatric Kostic Infusion Room (PKIR), and Pediatric Intensive Care unit (PICU). We provide care for pediatric patients aged 0 to 18 years. We offer subspecialty services through consultation and referral in areas such as Endocrinology, Genetics, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology, Otolaryngology, Pediatric Surgery, Trauma, and Hematology. The Family-centered rounds are conducted daily with an interdisciplinary care team including physicians, professional nursing services, child life specialists, social services, and nutrition support. All our pediatric units are secured with restricted access for staff, with visitors gaining entry via monitored access. All pediatric patients wear security tags to assure their safety. Our facilities include a teen room, a spacious playroom for younger patients, and a family waiting room. Our Pediatric unit and PIMU have 38-bed capacity. The Pediatric unit is in Kellemen building on South 7th and offers 26 beds. Experience Required 1 year of RN pediatrics experience is preferred. Education Requirements Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing. License/Certification Requirements Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse). Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
