Position Summary The Surgical Technologist is an integral member of the patient care team. The surgical technologist provides highly skilled intra-operative technical expertise and care for the surgical patient through planning and implementation of the needs of the surgical procedure. Responsible for aseptic technique and maintaining a sterile field while constantly anticipating surgeons needs. Job Overview Ridges Hospital is looking for a passionate and hardworking Nursing Assistant to join our Float Pool unit! Located in Burnsville, just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN, near the 35 E and 35 W conjunctions. This position is a .75 FTE, working 60 hours per 2 week pay period. This position works 12-hour shifts, every third weekend rotation (Fri,Sat,Sun), and on the day shift (7am-7:30pm). The Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting the professional nurse/caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and the reordering and stocking of supplies. The Nursing Assistant does not work autonomously but works under the direction of a professional nurse. Job Overview Fairview has an immediate opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at our Clinics and Surgery Center in Minneapolis, MN This is a 1.0 FTE ( 80 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening. Clinic Hours of Operation are Monday – Thursday: 7:00AM – 6:00PM and Friday: 7:00AM – 5:00PM. The LPN works under the direction of a Registered Nurse, or physician/authorized practitioner and in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. The LPN is responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures, and nursing practice guidelines. Responsibilities Follows the patient’s plan of care. Prioritizes work based on patient acuity, available resources, and patient/family preferences, in collaboration with the RN or physician/authorized practitioner. Performs high and low risk technical procedures, including medications, defined by the clinical setting. Recognizes when different approaches may be needed based on age or cultural differences. Implements assigned aspects of the patient teaching plan. Documents care in the medical record. Effectively communicates compliance and concerns to delegating RN or physician/authorized practitioner. Takes action to assure continuity of care for all assigned patients. Adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, and nursing practice guidelines. Responds appropriately to emergent situations. Documents care in the medical record. Communicates verbal and written information in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner. Use communication approaches appropriate to patient/family needs. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited LPN program is required. Current LPN License Basic Life Support Certification is required. Preferred Qualifications Ambulatory Care Experience is preferred.
