This position is a 100% onsite opportunity . You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area. You will have the ability to work with physicians that are constantly pushing the bounds of possibility forward, conducting groundbreaking research and providing lifesaving, personalized patient care. A staff nurse is a registered professional nurse (RN) who manages patient centered care that is outcome directed. Patient centered care principles and professional nursing practice standards provide the foundation for the nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care provided. The staff nurse assumes the primary responsibility and accountability for all patient care personally provided and that provided by those directly under her/his supervision. Essential Job Functions Utilizes appropriate assessment skills to determine patient needs. Overview JOB SPECIFICS The Neonatal Critical Care Unit (NCCU) is a 64-bed, private-room unit with a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit, and a Small Baby Unit. Team consists of our full-time neonatologists, nurse practitioners, residents, APP and physician fellows, nurses, respiratory therapists, and consultants from multiple specialties deliver the most advanced care to premature and high-risk infants. Management of premature and high-risk infants including bedside invasive and non-invasive monitoring, conventional and high-frequency ventilation, and surgery in multiple specialties, including cardiac and neurology.
