The unit features an open-concept milieu with a large central space equipped with comfortable reclining chairs rather than traditional hospital beds. Individual therapy rooms are located adjacent to the central living area to promote timely, patient-centered care. The environment includes homelike amenities such as TVs, music, and web access, creating a calming and supportive setting that promotes stabilization and recovery. The Staff Nurse (RN) for the Crisis Stabilization Unit assesses patients' nursing care needs, evaluates effectiveness of care provided, and integrates nursing theory and research into clinical practice. The Medical Support Specialist follows guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and provides center level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS). How you will contribute: You will determine donor eligibility; to include, proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). You will evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities. You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility. You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable. You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents. Benefits: $2,500 Relocation Fee for a new beginning. 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Vision insurance Principal Responsibilities • Conduct the daily nursing functions in accordance with Company, State, Federal and local rules, regulations, and guidelines. • Admit, transfer and discharge residents with documentation regarding care and service provided. • Participate in the orientation of new residents/family members to the facility. • Participate in facility surveys (inspections) as scheduled. • Ensures delivery of high-quality, positive clinical outcomes, and resident/family satisfaction during shift. • Serves as a resource to all staff within the facility regarding the quality of services provided. • Ability to administer medications and treatment timely and according to facility policy; Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act. Qualifications • Graduate of an approved Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse program. We also work with nurses applying for reciprocity! • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred. • Current BLS/CPR certification (All SNFs; ALFs as required by state).
