Engages in cluster feeding while seated. Monitors daily intake and keeps nurses informed. Records food intake on Nutrition Work Sheet. Making Beds Uses recommended amount of linen and diapers. Disposes of linen in proper manner. Properly utilizes clean and dirty linen carts. Secures call bells to bed. Beds are made in proper manner. Knowledgeable in procedure for linen precaution. Rehabilitation Assists in ambulation, transfers, ROM exercises and good body alignment where indicated. Uses adaptive devices properly. Cooperates with all rehab disciplines. Keeps accountability sheets up to date with signatures as required. Testing of Urine and Collecting of Specimens Has knowledge of proper procedure. Records results. Informs nurse of results. Assignments Receives daily report from nurse. Consults assignment for special duties and sets proper priorities for following through on assignment. Is familiar with and takes proper action in meeting physical needs of resident. Routinely checks and keeps in order all residents' belongings: i.e. clothing, glasses, hearing aid, prosthesis aid, adaptive devices, etc. Ensures that residents on turning schedule is positioned every two hours or as ordered, and documented. Ensures that residents on toileting schedule are assisted as needed, and documented. Resident is kept clean and dry. Gives assistance to co-workers when needed. Uses good handwashing techniques. Cooperation Works well with co-workers and supervisors. Maintains appropriate relationship with residents, families and peers. Gives assistance to other departments: i.e. recreation, when necessary. Manages providers, members, team, or care manager generated requests for medical services and renders clinical determinations in accordance with healthcare policies as well as applicable state and federal regulations. Performs annual clinical co-visits for nurses as well as two initial co-visits during the first six months for new hires as follows: one within first three weeks and a second within the first six months.
