Other Information Required Job Qualifications: Current state of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required. The CNS’s education and specialty board certification must correlate with the job role, setting, responsibility and patient population. BLS validation required. Skills A high level of analytical ability is required. Demonstrate skills at the level of an advanced practice nurse in leadership, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and change as evidenced by portfolio, recommendation letters, references, interview, and demonstration. Abilities Work requires the ability to walk throughout the Medical Center and to be standing or walking most of the day Work requires lifting or carrying objects 35-40 lbs. and lifting and positioning patients, some of whom may exceed 300 lbs. The ability to check documents for errors, use a keyboard to enter or retrieve data, and closely examine specimen, images or reports is required. PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The professional registered nurse Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). This position is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.
