Job Description Registered Nurse, AMG Gastroenterology, Full Time - 9am to 5pm Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Identifies and reports all risk management issues in a timely manner. Responsible for phone management of patients. Triages phone calls utilizing critical thinking and assessment skills to evaluate the chief complaint and urgency of the problem. Triages phone calls to determine acuity to assist in scheduling appointments. Provides comprehensive medical record documentation. Documents all communications and maintains patient confidentiality. Participates in and/or organizes regular practice huddles, communicates effectively with team members and physicians; actively listens and seeks feedback. Collaborates with team members to solve problems and resolve conflicts. Functions as a resource/mentor and provides support to team members to resolve patient care and team concerns/issues. Utilizes standard precautions including, appropriate isolation techniques. Consistently follows the Ambulatory Health Care National Patient Safety Goals. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborates with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence-based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
