Job Summary This position is 40 hours, Weekday, Day Shift The Advanced Practice Provider delivers operational and professional management for a small to medium-sized team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and allied health professionals. This role balances hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of specialized imaging and stress-testing services within the Nuclear Cardiology Molecular Imaging department. Yes Essential Functions: Leadership and Staff Management: • Provides direct management and accountability for a team of APPs and/or allied health professionals. • Recruits, hires, onboards, orients, and mentors APP staff. • Conducts performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development planning. • Works closely with APP Lead to develop staffing schedules to support clinical volumes and operational needs. Clinical Practice: • Provides patient care oversight as a Nurse Practitioner in Nuclear Cardiology and Molecular Imaging. • Oversees pre-procedure evaluations, risk stratification, and patient education for nuclear stress testing, PET/CT, PET/MR, and SPECT imaging. • Collaborates with attending physicians on clinical decision-making, documentation, and care coordination. • Gains clinical competency in radiopharmaceuticals, stress agents, and imaging-related protocols. Quality, Safety, and Compliance: • Supports quality assurance and continuous quality improvement initiatives. • Ensures adherence to institutional policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety practices. • Oversees compliance with documentation and APP billing requirements. • Participates in incident reviews, root-cause analyses, and corrective action planning. Education and Professional Development: • Ensures ongoing education, competency validation, and clinical training for APP staff. • Supports teaching and mentorship of trainees and new hires. • Encourages continuing education and specialty certification.
