Associate degree in nursing is considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN Program if approved by Chief Nursing Officer or designee Relevant clinical competence in area of nursing practice assigned; Circulating experience either in a main Operating Room or a multi-disciplinary surgery center, or completion of a Periop 101 program preferred. Licensed as a registered nurse with current registration in New York State BLS / BCLS certification required. CNOR highly preferred. Perform floor duties including but not limited to: Waste disposal and management Equipment sanitization and turnover Docking stations and OR room prep/maintenance Document accurately and timely in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Take and record vital signs, and assist with clinical charting and documentation tasks. Assist with organizing, disseminating, and storing patient records and treatment plans. Ensure smooth daily operations by identifying and addressing any needs that arise throughout the day. Maintain medical inventory and communicate supply needs to leadership. Uphold infection control and safety standards in all patient care and facility protocols. Qualifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical assistant role; OBL or surgical center experience strongly preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Strong communication skills , professional and personable demeanor. Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a collaborative team. High degree of critical thinking , situational awareness, and problem-solving. Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative on miscellaneous and ad hoc tasks. Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.
