Children’s Nebraska has an exciting opportunity to join our Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Transport team! Our NNPs work collaboratively with flight nurses to provide state-of-the-art neonatal care, utilizing fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and critical care ground ambulances throughout Nebraska and surrounding states. As a stand-alone neonatal team, we often operate in multiple states within a single shift. This position requires proficiency in neonatal pathophysiology and technical skills, including lab and x-ray interpretation, intubation, line placement, thoracentesis, thoracotomy, and intraosseous access. In collaboration with physicians and referral teams, the NNP must demonstrate strong leadership through nursing judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. As an advocate for patients and families, the NNP must maintain professional conduct and communication.
