Overview The Coronary Care Unit is a 12-bed cardiac intensive care unit. The CCU cares for complex cardiac critical care patients including structural heart (TAVR), pre-cardiac surgery, advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, and other critical cardiac disease processes. The CCU nurses receive specialized training to care for our critical care cardiac patients Experience Required A minimum of one year or more of acute care experience in an inpatient setting is preferred. Appropriately adheres to universal safety precautions when administering medications and disposal of medical waste. Maintains proficiency with department specific equipment, troubleshoots and reports malfunctions promptly Facilitates transition of care to UCC/Hospital Demonstrates flexibility with various work schedules. Education, Certification, Computer & Training Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
