Guides the nursing staff on the appropriate products and treatments for patients with mild to complex wounds Job Responsibilities: Consults and evaluates skin/wounds for inpatients. Assists staff in providing care to patients with or at risk of developing wounds. Suggest proper support and positioning surface products. Monitors use of rental support surfaces Advises staff on available and appropriate wound care products. Evaluates patient’s progress documenting in chart and communicating to nursing staff. Provides information to staff and patients regarding management of ostomy or continent diversions. Assists patient and/or family in ostomy or continent care plan.
