Prepares patient for and recovers patient after cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures performed in the CV Lab, administers medications and performs procedural documentation for all patients while in the CV Prep and Recovery unit, administers conscious sedation to patients undergoing transesophageal echo procedures and monitors patients undergoing cardiac stress tests, tilt table tests and cardioversions. Job Description​ The Opportunity: Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City has an opportunity for a RN on our Neuro Intermediate unit. This position will be accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures. Shift Details: Full Time Nights 6:45 pm to 7:15 am This position comes with night and weekend shift differential. Job Description​ The employee will be responsible for the medical management of the Neurosurgery patient population within the scope of an Advanced Practice Provider. The term Advanced Practice Provider encompasses Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Clinical Nurse Specialists. The employee will have successfully completed a Master’s degree (or higher level of educational program) and have met the requirements for the respective State Board(s) (Missouri and Kansas). The APP will hold and maintain a national certification and licensure as required by State Boards and Saint Luke’s Health System, as well as other certification as obligatory for this role. Neurosurgery disease processes the APP will be expected to accurately diagnose and treat include general neurosurgery with a focus subspecialized patient populations as indicated. This role may require training and competency for procedures applicable to the department of hire. This role will include an expectation of participation in the operating room in a first assist role.
