Job Description Provides leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for nursing and clinical support services within a pediatric ambulatory primary or specialty care site. The Ambulatory Nurse Manager is accountable for safe, efficient, family-centered care delivery; daily clinical operations; and the effective use of human, material, and financial resources to support quality outcomes, access, and an exceptional patient and family experience. Directs, supervises, and evaluates nursing and clinical support staff, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, performance management, and professional development. Assures appropriate staffing plans, patient flow, and resource utilization to support efficient operations, timely access, and high-quality patient and family experience. Qualifications BSN required Master’s in nursing or related field preferred. Five years clinical experience required, preferably at least one year in pediatrics. Job Title: Ambulatory Nurse II Department: OB-Gyn Maternal Fetal Medicine Entity: Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania (CPUP) Location: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania - 3400 Spruce St Hours: M-F, Part-time 27 hours a week, divided into three 9-hour shifts. Specific hours based on operational needs This position is in the Maternal Fetal Medicine practice located at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The primary role of this position will be to provide complex care coordination, emotional support and education to women experiencing pregnancies which have been identified as high risk. Complex care coordination will include telephone triage, patient portal management, result review and follow-up, diabetic care coordination, treatment plan and medication education, appointment scheduling, and administrative tasks associated with care coordination and management. The incumbent in this position will also be trained to the antenatal testing unit which provides non-stress tests, biophysical profiles, and related diagnostic testing. The incumbent will also provide nursing support and coordination for High Risk OB office and specialty sessions and will be expected to participate in practice-based meetings and/or committees. This position is 27 hours a week, divided into three 9-hour shifts. Once oriented, a hybrid schedule may be supported if operationally feasible. The Ambulatory Nurse II Colleague independently provides patient care through the application of the nursing process and accepts accountability for the nursing care of assigned patients. Assigned patients may range in age from infancy to the elderly. The Ambulatory Nurse II Colleague demonstrates within the competency domains of Continuous Quality Improvement, Evidence Based Practice and Research, Leadership, Person and Family Centered Care, Professionalism, Safety, Technology/Informatics, and Teamwork (Definitions listed below). The Ambulatory Nurse II Colleague works closely with the interprofessional health care team to facilitate the coordination of care across the continuum.
