A Brief Overview The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. This role includes but not limited to rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in the electronic medical record, assisting with procedures, supporting providers, and promoting efficient patient flow while delivering patient-centered care. Family Educator/Advocate: Educate the patient and family on the disease processes using teach back methods to ensure patient and family understanding. Policies: Completes all clinical documentation following agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines. Rules and Regulations: understand and follow agency policies, procedures, rules, and regulations and communicate changes in schedule/availability to schedulers or supervisors.
