Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Mobile Medication Unit

Overview Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. In order to support our mission, Helio Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work on a Full-Time basis for the Mobile Medication Unit as part of our Utica Opioid Treatment Program providing clinical services to patients in Oneida and Fulton counties. The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday from between the hours of 5:00am - 1:00pm through 6:00am - 2:30pm. In addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, all Full-Time LPNs are eligible for a Sign-On incentive up to $4,000 ! Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour. Responsibilities Works in a variety of clinical settings providing medical and counseling services as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team. Provide client services for medical issues. Monitors and documents clients’ medical status, signs and symptoms of withdrawal and reports to supervisor or medical director. Works with other medical staff for continuity of clients’ medical care. Communicates with clinical staff regarding clients’ medical concerns. Works directly with clients in providing medical services and interpreting medical information. Provides direct client care of medical assessment, implementation of medical orders, communicable and infectious disease reporting in accordance with the law. Provides public health and screening protocols. Provides and documents medical consultation, assessment, examination, and treatment planning and review consistency with agency policy and requirements. Qualifications Must be a licensed practical nurse currently registered by the New York State Education Department. Experience and/or training in the treatment of substance abuse and/or substance dependency preferred. Basic computer skills required. Administers prescribed medications according to five rights of medication administration. Performs both physical and psychosocial assessments based on patient presentation and complaint of problem and plans nursing accordingly. Completes practice and unit specific clinical skill competencies on an annual basis. Performs other nursing services commensurate with LPN experience, education and demonstrated competencies.
