Preparation - Ensure clinical areas are properly supplied and exam rooms are available and stocked. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or equivalent required. Current licensure in State of New York as a Licensed Practical Nurse. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills highly desired. What is Required? Graduate of an accredited Certificate, Diploma, or Associate School of Nursing. Current State License as a Licensed Vocational / Practical Nurse. 1+ year of experience in a clinical care setting. Experience in a hospice or home health environment is preferred. Able and willing to travel within the branch/office coverage area. Must be able and willing to travel 50%. Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently and be able to lift 50-100 lbs. Valid driver’s license and insurance and reliable transportation to perform job tasks. Schedules are made based on clinic needs, therefore clinic assignments can vary day-to-day, giving you an opportunity to experience a variety of specialties and teams! The lead nurse works in partnership with the Nurse Supervisor, Program/Medical Director, to ensure the delivery of adequate and qualitative level of nursing coverage for all program and dispensing and medical operations Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure that Physician’s medication orders are enacted meeting time expectations, includes delivery to outside facilities Responsible for Medical Services to be in compliance with Federal and state regulations Delegates tasks to certified nursing assistants, medication technicians, or an unlicensed person who is competent to perform those tasks .
